PT. EBU has been invited to Coffee Morning organized by Surabaya Marine Polytechnic (POLTEKPEL Surabaya) on 19 September 2019 at Hotel Harris, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta
Mrs. Sofia and Mrs. Theresia were representing PT. Equinox Bahari Utama (EBU) to attended this event. POLTEKPEL Surabaya was invited in total 32 shipping companies based in Jakarta on this Coffee Morning such as PT Pertamina, PT. Samudera Indonesia Ship Management, dan PT. Teekay (PT. Berlian Laju Tanker).
The purpose of this event is to collaborate with several shipping companies as stakeholders, to inform or socialize the new program in POLTEKPEL Surabaya (Diploma-IV Program), to introduce all the facilities, and the application of service standards in POLTEKPEL Surabaya.
This Coffee Morning was opened by speech of the Head of POLTEKPEL Surabaya, Capt. Heru Susanto, MM. with subject “Actualize the Development of Reliable Human Resources through Synergy and Best Services”. There are also four competent speakers in the main session, which delivered their very good subject;
1. Head of INSA (Indonesian National Ship owners’ association) by Mrs. Lisda as Seafarer Human Resources Development
This session was informed us regarding the current challenge for seafarer, competencies demands, communication ability, factors that contribute to achieve success in work, 4 pillars of IMO (SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC), and how to be a success worker.
2. Mr. Barto Head of Training Department
This session was informed us regarding the points of new n SATCW 1978 – 2010; Passenger ship, IGF Code, Polar Water.
3. Mr. Dr. Eko Nurgoho, M.Mar and Mrs. Siti Fatimah, from academic POLTEKPEL Surabaya.
This session they are explained all the services in POLTEKPEL Surabaya completely. POLTEKPEL Surabaya also can provided the ETO cadet, and EBU is one of company which recruited the ETO Cadet from POLTEKPEL Surabaya.
This event was held with casual discussion which all participant can interactive to ask or to bring their opinion. Thank you POLTEKPEL Surabaya, such an honor for us to be participated in this excellent program.
