Technical guidance and training related to MLC compliance for all the licensed Manning Agent was being conducted by Ministry of Sea Transportation and Communication, Directorate of Marine Safety and Seafarers at Jakarta, March 31st – April 1st.
The main objective of this event is to sharing the understanding and knowledge related to the optimalization of the seafarer recruitment and placement activity in order to improve the national economy, protection of the seafarers and their welfare. Indonesia is now having 1,016,738 number of seafarers who are having the competence and ready to compete on the market, both local and international. Other objective of this event is to support the Manning Agent as the representative of the ship owners/operators in improving the quality of the seafarers which is in line with the industry 4.0 and to enlarge the job opportunity to be given to the Indonesian seafarers.
