Cooperation between PT EBU and Poltekpel Surabaya
Since 1982, Merchant Marine Polytechnic Surabaya had produced number of seafarers. Started from BPLPD to BP2IP, the institute was being named as Merchant Marine Polytechnic in 2013. Poltekpel Surabaya is the first institute in Indonesia who initiated the Electro Technical Officer (ETO) program and able to produce Electro Technical apprentices. Commencing from 2019, they were starting their Sea Transportation/Port and Shipping program for the apprentice who having courage to work ashore at any Government institutes or Shipping Companies.
PT Equinox Bahari Utama is having a regular contact and cooperation with Poltekpel Surabaya in recruiting the potential apprentices and potential officers to fulfill the need of the global manning market. Besides the education program for the apprentices, Poltekpel Surabaya is also having the upgrading program for officers who would like to upgrade their license to Class 2 or Class 1.
