PT. Equinox Bahari Utama, in association with Consortium of Indonesian Manning Agency (CIMA), was being invited by Polimarin Semarang on October 23rd at Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, to attend the International Seminar for the Innovation on Vocational Higher Education to Develop Human Resource in Maritime Industries.
This seminar was being attended by all Stakeholder in maritime industries, including one of the Germany maritime institute, Hochschule Wismar, which are now having a joint degree program with Polimarin Semarang where some of the apprentices will be exchanged and going to have experience studying in both Indonesian and Germany. This program was being initiated initially back on 2012 and was being finalized by this year, which becomes a positive milestone by Polimarin Semarang.
Polimarin Semarang is one of the maritime institute in Indonesia, under the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, which able to produce competent apprentices from deck, engine and port shipping department. They are having collaboration with Cambridge UK for their English competence and now having a joint degree program with Hochschule Wismar, Germany.
This is indeed a very positive achievement by one of the maritime institute in Indonesia and of course will definitely be an added value for Indonesian apprentices development in the future, for having such new experiences and improving their knowledge in maritime sectors in Wismar.
