One of EBU principle, “K”line Energy Ship Management (K-ENE) was held family gathering and crew seminar which is located at Yogyakarta in this year

These events were yearly annual program as it was a win-win solution to all seafarers because they can still be with their families while attending the seminar.

This seminar had some good topics for all crews to be discussed as a self-development for them. Capt. M. Tabe as a representative for K-ENE Indonesia was opened the seminar with warm greetings to all participants and then continued by Mr. T. Hasegawa with his nice speech to remind them that this conference is for sharing knowledge and their self-development.

The topics discussed were Cyber Security Awareness (by Mr. Angga L. Eldrianto / Director of EBU), Betray Act the Customer and Case Study “GNR Collision at Houston Channel” (by Capt. Y. Miyazawa), Evolving Management System (Risk Assessment) and Case Study from Accident (by Mr. N. Yamashu), MOB Marker Accidental Release, and some tips about How to Excellence in Vetting (SIRE & PSC Inspection) (by Capt. S. Konno).

At the second day of seminar, Mr. Rajan Mathur was familiarized about CMS system and how to complete on board. He was thanking to all seamen who already act like a superhero mariner, that it was not easy to do many things at the same time. When vessel arrived at port, seaman should do cargo calculation, bunkering, port state inspection, SIRE inspection, and many more. While sailing, the seaman should be maintained the equipment on board and watch every 8+4 hours/day, so that’s why seaman is like a superhero.

Those topics were being an issue around seafarer’s life nowadays. We believe that K-ENE crew can improve their awareness, service, and safety, also spread these positive vibes to other, so that this seminar can be valuable for everyone.
