Cooperation between PT EBU and PIP Semarang
PIP Semarang was established in 1951 under the name Semarang Shipping School or abbreviated as SPS. PIP Semarang is a state higher education belonging to the Ministry of Sea Transportation and Communication of the Republic of Indonesia and has entered the White List in the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in 2000. Carries out the task of educating and training senior high school graduates (SLTA) in the shipping and port sector to become large shipping officers and Sea / Port Transportation Experts to meet the needs of national and international sea transportation fleets.
The cooperation in between PIP Semarang and PT Equinox Bahari Utama had been developed since many years, as currently PT Equinox Bahari Utama are employing Officers and Engineers who had been graduated from this school to all the Ship Owners/Managers who are being cooperated with PT Equinox Bahari Utama, such as Golar LNG, Anthony Veder, K-Line Energy, Thome Ship Management, etc.
PIP Semarang can also be proud of on the achievement that some of the Officers who are now being employed, had reached the top level position onboard as Master and Chief Engineer. We do believe that PIP Semarang will always produce top quality of seafarers who can provide positive contribution on the development on the maritime sector, especially on the Man Power sector, in Indonesia.
