Safety Introduction Training by Anthony Veder.
Crewing team is the front liners of a Manning Agent company who deals directly with the Seafarers. To support the crewing team to familiarize with safety culture onboard, PT Equinox Bahari Utama and SHEQ department from @AnthonyVeder initiated a virtual safety training.
The training was being conducted succesfully for around 90 minutes and we were also having a study case about an accident onboard which we tried to discuss why this happened and what we can learn to avoid such recurrence happened again. We had also learnt some abbreviations related to safety which common to be used onboard, such as LTI (Lost Time Injury), RWC (Restricted Work Case), etc. The most interesting part was when we discussed about company values where most of them are being related with the values which most of people used at home.
We intend to have this training in regular basis and to learn more about the safety culture onboard. We do believe this training will create a strong foundation to maintain the safety culture, both onboard and at the office.
